About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to join our team at Westpac Group. As a Principal Architect, you will play a vital role in shaping the technology strategy and architecture of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cutting-edge architecture patterns to drive business value and innovation.
  • Develop and communicate reference architecture, frameworks, and implementation of distributed applications and services.
  • Function as an architectural SME, embedded in cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to peers.
  • Guide and drive the re-factoring of Westpac's applications into cost-efficient sources of business value.

Requirements
  • Significant enterprise-level solutions architecture experience applying design and problem-solving to a range of business technology scenarios.
  • Passionate technologist with the ability to cater language and style to suit any audience.
  • Extensive background in digital technology systems design, solid exposure to multiple architecture approaches, and ability to employ structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an ICT/Computer Science or related field with current certifications and accreditations.
  • Commercially astute with a commitment to continuous learning and the application of value-generating technology.
