Job Title: Primary Care Physician

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports their health and wellbeing both before and after deployments.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also provide medical technical advice to senior leaders within the organisation.

Key Requirements

  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
