Exciting Opportunity for a Financial Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented financial expert to join our vibrant Finance team at K&S Freighters, a leading transportation and logistics company in Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for accuracy in financial reporting. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Monthly accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations, month-end accruals, and management reporting
  • Production of half-year and year-end statutory reporting
  • Providing support during the audit process, including providing key information to resolve any queries
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Group budget/forecast
  • Providing support in the maintenance of the General Ledger
  • Being involved in ad-hoc project work that impacts the wider team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant accounting experience, either from a Big4 or Mid-tier audit firm or from industry
  • A degree qualification in Business, Commerce, or Finance, with professional accounting accreditation (such as CA or CPA)
  • Advanced experience and proficiency using Excel and MS Office Suite of applications
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
