Direct Support Care Workers

We are currently seeking qualified and compassionate individuals to join our exceptional support team. The role requires availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, and sleepovers.

The Role:

As a Direct Support Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to clients with disabilities. This may include personal care (showering, grooming and dressing), medication administration, meal preparation, manual handling, transport, purchases, social support, record keeping and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rights
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or currently working towards one
  • Experience in the Disability Industry
  • A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicle
  • A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
  • A National Police Check (Working with vulnerable peoples)

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful applicants are required to have an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before commencement
  • On commencement successful applicants will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program
