Job Description

The successful candidate will lead a small team in delivering an efficient and effective engagement function. Forward planning, prioritization, and understanding community needs are key to identifying opportunities and emerging issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based engagement strategies for projects, services, and initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of engagement activities for operational services in accordance with best practice principles and legislative responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the Community Engagement Strategy under the guidance of the Public Information & Engagement Steering Board.
  • Oversee corporate events and manage the Event Coordinator position in line with relevant policies and standard operating procedures.

Establish and maintain professional networks and stakeholder relationships to facilitate consultation and information dissemination.

Participate in emergency media teams and public information coordination centres to deliver advice and support during crises.
