Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Truck Lot Porter to join our team at Cleveland. We are looking for a permanent part-time individual to exercise trucks and tractors, ensuring they are roadworthy and ready for sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise trucks and tractors to guarantee they are roadworthy and ready for sale.
  • E nsure customer units are ready for delivery or transport from the used truck center without issues.
  • Transport equipment around the yard to maintain an orderly environment.
  • Perform light mechanical work such as jump starts, battery installation, and fluid management while troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate with local service providers for repairs.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and presentable.
  • Submit weekly equipment exercise data via digital means.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year or more of mechanical and/or customer service experience is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to meet driving qualifications are necessary.
  • A CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment and withstand various weather conditions.
  • Customer focus and support skills are crucial.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organized and capable of multitasking.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of tablets for unit inspection and email communication.
