Job Opportunity

A forward-thinking data governance professional is required to establish and scale a fit-for-purpose data governance function from the ground up. This strategic role entails overseeing the development of a company-wide data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and ownership models across data domains, including data stewards, custodians, and owners.
  • Develop and embed policies, standards, and data controls for quality, classification, access, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data accountability and literacy, driving business outcomes through effective data governance.
  • Work closely with technology partners to implement or optimize governance tooling, such as data catalogues, lineage, and metadata management platforms.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and maturity levels, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Act as the primary governance lead on initiatives related to privacy, compliance, AI readiness, and data quality, ensuring organizational excellence.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data quality leadership roles, with a strong understanding of governance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience developing data policies, ownership models, and controls in a regulated environment, with familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, drive business outcomes, and foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
