Job Description

The Senior Manager Contracts and Commercial plays a pivotal role in the effective management of commercial and contractual obligations for our customer. This includes ensuring the organization meets all contract obligations, drives commercial performance, mitigates risk, and maintains compliance with internal processes and procedures.

This position is responsible for overseeing the Performance Management Framework and reporting requirements, identifying and managing contractual and commercial risks, and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Primary responsibilities include supporting key stakeholders with contract and commercial obligations, interpreting contractual terms and conditions, leading pricing indexation, extensions, variations, audits, and negotiations, as well as onboarding and ongoing monitoring of suppliers/subcontractors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience gained in senior commercial or contract management roles for a complex network supply chain or logistics network
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, or Contract Management
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for (and maintain) an Australian AGSVA Security Clearance
  • Strong commercial acumen, contract interpretation, negotiation, and commercial risk assessment skills
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
