Job Overview

The role of a Project Engineer (Mechanical) is critical to the delivery of a landmark tunnelling project in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

This position offers hands-on experience, opportunities for growth, and a real impact on shaping the future of Melbourne and Victoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage plants, equipment, and resources according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee project plants, including EPB TBM, spoil conveyor, MSV, ventilation, backfill grout plant, water treatment, power/water supply, material handling, cross passage excavation plants, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate daily plant maintenance with the Tunnel Plant Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Monitor spare parts availability based on project priorities.
  • Work with the TBM Mechanical Superintendent to ensure safe and efficient inspections and maintenance, keeping reports updated.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and Environmental teams to meet compliance standards.
  • Foster effective stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Adhere to policies, processes, and procedures.
