About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Benevolent Society. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our Occupational Therapists, while delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based clinical service delivery, including specialized intervention, assessments, home modifications, and prescription of assistive technology.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional capacity assessments and provide leadership and mentoring to Occupational Therapist team members.
  • Provide consultation and support to the wider multidisciplinary team and plan professional development in team training sessions.
  • Develop and implement client-centered care plans that promote optimal outcomes for individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve client goals.

Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration and a current driver's license.
  • Experience supporting people with a disability using an evidence-based approach.
  • Adaptable and 'can-do' attitude to adjust to client needs and NDIS plans.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapists.
