Job Title: Tax Advisory Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Private Business Tax team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to privately owned businesses.

You will specialise in tax planning and strategy, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganisation. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance while optimising tax positions.

Our Private Business Tax team is looking for a manager who can lead multiple client engagements and deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of private business clients, understanding their unique tax needs and providing tailored advice.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of private business clients, understanding their unique tax needs and providing tailored advice.
  • Prepare and review tax returns to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on tax-efficient strategies to optimise tax positions, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganisation.
  • Stay updated with tax laws and regulations; conduct in-depth research to provide informed guidance.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Identify potential tax risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect clients' interests.
  • Provide updates to clients on tax-related issues and changes in tax legislation.
  • Advise high net worth individuals/families, businesses and owners on technical topics such as revenue/capital distinction, financing arrangements, Division 7A and trusts.
