About the Role
As a Leisure and Activities Officer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing special programs to meet the needs of residents in a residential aged care setting.
This is a diverse and exciting role that requires excellent communication skills to develop and conduct programs tailored to individualized needs. You will participate in the organization of functions and assess, develop, and review care plans for residents' activities.
Your goal will be to encourage residents towards a higher quality of life through participation in meaningful activities. To achieve this, you will need to possess a Certificate Level IV in Leisure & Health or other relevant qualification and a current First Aid Certificate.
You should have experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and programs for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities. A desire to join a team committed to the care of others is essential.
