About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Music and Arts/Cultural Curriculum Leader to join our team at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa. This is a full-time, permanent teaching role with a 3-year fixed-term appointment to the Middle Leader position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the arts and cultural program in the college, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for students.
  • Supervise teachers and teacher aides engaged in the program, providing guidance and support to ensure effective implementation.
  • Induct new teachers and teacher aides into the program, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Provide pastoral care to staff within the designated area of responsibility, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Contribute to the leadership of the college through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Regularly communicate with the Senior Leadership Team regarding issues of interest or concern, ensuring that the needs of the college and its students are met.
Requirements
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
