Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to join our Defence team at Service Stream. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in building the culture of our new division and ensuring the efficient coordination of corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) activities across multiple defence bases in your allocated region.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers to confirm that all resources and materials are available for scheduled maintenance tasks. You will also collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling Manager to continuously improve maintenance planning processes and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating and distributing detailed maintenance schedules and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring, maintaining and adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate unexpected maintenance requirements and changed in operational priorities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, completion times, and resource allocations.
  • Utilising maintenance management software to track and analyse maintenance performance and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing regular updates and feedback to the Planning & Scheduling Manager on the status of scheduled maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar scheduling or coordination role, preferably within defence or a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exposure to corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance services is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other scheduling tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field are highly desirable.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
