About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Linesperson to join our team in Emerald. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and plant, as well as constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence or a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson.
  • Install, repair, commission, and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
  • Construct, maintain, and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains, and customer service lines.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
  • Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
  • Availability for call out and emergency work.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
  • Current 'C' class open Drives Licence.
