HR Specialist

This is a critical HR role focused on delivering strategic support to the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on human resources matters, contributing to policy development, and implementing effective HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality HR advice to stakeholders
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Interpret and advise on relevant legislation, policies, and agreements
- Support employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, performance management, and offboarding
- Lead HR projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide data analysis and insights using HRIS systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in local government or complex organizations
- Strong knowledge of employment law and enterprise agreements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using HRIS systems like PageUp or AURION is advantageous
- Familiarity with local government frameworks is desirable
