**Job Overview**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our engineering efforts in developing novel mineral processing technology.

The ideal candidate will bring expert metallurgist knowledge and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

This role requires a strong background in hydrometallurgy, with experience in designing, commissioning, and operating complex industrial processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking engineering modelling, design, and project management tasks to optimize processes, ensuring safe designs, reduced operational costs, and improved quality.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and other disciplines to deliver documentation and design for large-scale mineral extraction projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced process engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations in the field of mineral processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake engineering modelling, design, and project management tasks to optimize processes, ensuring safe designs, reduced operational costs, and improved quality.
  • Work with and manage process engineers and other disciplines to deliver documentation and design for large-scale mineral extraction projects.
  • Create main engineering process documents and lists for engineering design.
  • Compile Process Flow Diagrams, along with associated mass and energy balance calculations.
  • Develop and read P&ID's.

Requirements:

  • Experience in hydrometallurgy, working with complicated engineering projects or Industrial Process background.
  • Experience in crystallisation, fluidised bed, mineral leaching or carbonation and RO/IX design and operations.
  • University bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, metallurgy or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • 8 years' experience minimum in design, commissioning, and/or operational experience of hydrometallurgical processing equipment.
  • Knowledge/Experience in scoping and management of metallurgical test work programs.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced process engineer who has a strong background in hydrometallurgy and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a University bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, metallurgy, or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia, and at least 8 years' experience in design, commissioning, and/or operational experience of hydrometallurgical processing equipment.

The candidate should also have experience in scoping and managing metallurgical test work programs and have a good understanding of industrial processes and operations.
