Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to develop and guide advanced engineering concepts for novel mineral processing technology.



About the Role
  • Undertake engineering modelling, design and project management tasks on projects - both in the office and on site - to optimise processes, ensuring safe designs, reduce operational costs and improve quality.
  • Work with and manage process engineers and other disciplines as required to deliver documentation and design for large mineral extraction projects.
  • Create main engineering process documents and lists for engineering design.
  • Develop and test new novel technologies with management and engineering teams.
  • Compilation of Process Flow Diagrams, along with associated mass and energy balance calculations.
  • Proficient in developing and reading P&ID's.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in hydrometallurgy, working with complicated engineering projects is advantageous.
  • Experience in crystallisation, fluidised bed, mineral leaching or carbonation and RO/IX design and operations is highly advantageous.
  • University bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, metallurgy or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in design, commissioning and/or operational experience of hydrometallurgical processing equipment is required.
  • Knowledge/Experience in scoping and management of metallurgical test work programs (bench-scale, pilot-scale, on-site testing) is highly desirable.
