About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning group, you will be responsible for creating store-level allocations and inventory purchasing plans that drive sales growth and optimize stock levels in stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create weekly store-level allocations based on sales trend performance, customer requirements, and internal warehouse constraints.
  • Develop and implement warehouse inventory purchasing plans based on future sales forecasts, ensuring optimal balance of warehouse stocks to meet customer needs.
  • Analyze product sales and stock performance, recommending actions to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Achieve critical financial targets including sales, stock turn, sell-through, and margin.
  • Focus on aged inventory analysis, recommending financially viable solutions to maintain healthy inventory holdings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in merchandise planning in a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Excel-based allocations.
  • Prior experience in retail or FMCG store-level roles is highly desired.
  • Prior experience in allocation management is highly desired.
