About the Job

  • This technical role requires both technical and interpersonal skills.
  • You will need to have the right approach from a technical and customer service mindset to work through issues calmly and logically.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and system backups.
  3. Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  4. Work collaboratively with other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
  5. Keep accurate records of all client interactions and support requests.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

About You:

  • You may have experience as a level 1 or be looking to get into your first IT role.
  • You may have done a related certificate or just have a general interest in technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with IT systems and computers.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Potentially 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Natural problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Potentially experience with remote access tools and protocols.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is an advantage.
