Job Title: Strategic Planner

 

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Strategic Planner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic planning expertise to clients across multiple industry sectors.

 

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, with experience in undertaking site analysis and research, preparing fee proposals and initial town planning advice, managing small to large development and infrastructure projects, and liaising with clients, consultants, and assessing officers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive site analysis and research to inform strategic planning decisions
  • Prepare detailed fee proposals and initial town planning advice to clients
  • Manage small to large development and infrastructure projects from project inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage projects efficiently, effectively, and sustainably
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and assessing officers to ensure smooth project delivery and effective communication
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities to drive growth and expansion

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in strategic planning, preferably in a consulting/advisory role
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent project management and time management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations
