Job Description

Globally, energy markets are transitioning to a net-zero future. As one of Australia's largest energy providers, we lead the clean energy transformation. Our Community Engagement team plays a vital role in earning and maintaining our social license to operate.

We foster genuine connections with communities around our operational sites and support new renewable energy projects through tailored engagement programs. The Mt Piper Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is one of our key projects. You'll play a key role in shaping how we engage with local stakeholders throughout the project's life cycle.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be embedded within the Mt Piper BESS team. You'll work closely with the Engagement Lead (NSW) to ensure our approach is consistent, strategic, and responsive to community needs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities.
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Design and implement tailored engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and feedback.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the Community Consultative Committee.
  • Prepare clear reports and engagement summaries.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years' experience in community engagement on major infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • A problem-solving mindset and structural thinking.
