Job Title: Recreation Venues Manager

This is a leadership position that oversees the operations of three major community-focused recreation venues, driving their growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless delivery of services at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre and Morayfield Sport and Events Centre.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage resources to achieve high standards of financial performance and accountability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement service, operational, and business planning activities to drive organisational growth.
  • Infrastructure Development: Provide expert advice on infrastructure and asset management planning to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Lead the implementation of safety and risk management frameworks to protect staff, customers, and assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and contractors to drive collaboration and mutual benefit.
Requirements:
  • A motivated leader with strong operational skills and significant experience in managing major community, cultural, or recreation venues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to negotiate, communicate, and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading and managing high-performing teams and fostering a culture to develop and uplift team capability.
