Job Overview

We are seeking a Recreation Manager to join our team and work in a large recreational venue that hosts various activities for schools and groups.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate 3 or higher in Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Leadership with relevant electives, previous experience in a similar role, and positive Blue card status.

The successful applicant will be responsible for safely facilitating high-quality sport and recreation activities, performing logistical tasks, providing feedback and continuous improvement, adhering to safety guidelines, and undertaking administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely facilitate high-quality sport and recreation activities for individuals and groups in line with venue procedures.
  • Perform logistical tasks associated with the delivery of outdoor recreation activities, including preparing and packing-down equipment.
  • Provide feedback and continuous improvement of community-based programs and other initiatives as required.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, and follow risk management practices associated with the role.
Requirements
  • Certificate 3 or higher in Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Leadership with relevant electives.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the tourism, recreation, and hospitality industries.
  • Positive Blue card status – mandatory or willingness to obtain.
  • Current first aid and CPR certificates – mandatory or willingness to obtain.
