Job Title: Livestock Insemination Specialist
DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Livestock Insemination Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for artificially inseminating livestock, maintaining animal welfare standards, and ensuring the highest quality breeding practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Artificially inseminate livestock to achieve optimal breeding outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of insemination history and breeding selection techniques
- Provide advice on breeding selection and techniques to support the achievement of business objectives
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure sanitary breeding practices
- Vaccinate animals as necessary to prevent disease and promote overall health
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong understanding of animal anatomy and physiology, particularly in relation to breeding and insemination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with farmers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary package from $54,000 per year, plus superannuation benefits.
Other RequirementsPlease note that this role may require weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises. You will also be required to relocate to Nangana, VIC 3781.
