HammondCare is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Residential Care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with residents, their representatives, and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective and timely occupational therapy to residents and the appropriate support and advice to their representatives and the HammondCare team.
- Collaborate closely with residents, their representatives, staff, and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions.
- Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a person-centred, continuous quality improvement work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and continuing professional development.
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
- Practical experience or sound knowledge in Aged Care.
- A current driver's license, safe driving record and access to your own car, with a willingness to travel between HammondCare's sites and services.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an MDT.
