We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at Kmart and Target. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering thought leadership and driving business performance across our merchandise and inventory functions.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will serve as the interface between finance and merchandise, inventory, and trade stakeholders, driving improved business performance through problem-solving, trend identification, and proactive issue resolution. You will deliver regular reporting, perform ad hoc analysis, and develop tools and processes to deliver insights, identify risks/opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
You will lead budgeting and monthly forecasting/planning processes for stakeholders, ensuring inputs and outcomes make financial and commercial sense, and the functions meet their annual targets. You will provide financial and commercial support to stakeholders on project cost control, performance reporting, and process improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of five years' experience in a financial or commercial role, with experience in merchandise, inventory, trade, or FMCG activities. You will be CPA or CA qualified, with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
You will demonstrate thought leadership, initiative, and operate in an autonomous manner, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred experience with financial modelling, SAP, TM1, and Excel is also desirable.
