As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across diverse minerals processing projects.
Reporting to our Principal Mechanical Engineer & Group Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Executing design calculations for minerals processing plants, encompassing flotation, carbon-in-leach circuits, pumping systems, and conveyors.
- Delivering comprehensive engineering packages, including datasheets, equipment specifications, layout development, and drawing reviews.
- Applying sound design theories, principles, and practices to drive practical project outcomes.
- Providing a working knowledge of bulk solids handling and conveyor design.
- Managing and delivering multiple concurrent small-scale projects.
- Supporting construction and commissioning activities on-site as required.
Project Deliverables: Engineering packages, design documents, and technical reports.
Qualifications & Skills- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10 years experience in the mining and minerals processing industry, particularly with gold and copper projects.
- Strong technical background – capable of reviewing and guiding design outputs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with an ability to juggle priorities across several smaller-scale projects.
- Commitment to safety in design and design for constructability principles.
- Exposure to greenfield and brownfield project environments.
- Familiarity with Australian and international engineering codes and standards.
