About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at Charterhouse Medical. As a Senior Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients in our tertiary referral centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre and peri-operative anaesthetic care to surgical and obstetric patients
  • Supervise and mentor junior anaesthetists and medical officers
  • Contribute to the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anaesthetic services and policies
About the Facility

Our 550-bed tertiary hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, employing over 3000 people. We are accredited with ANZCA for 36 months and work closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

Requirements
  • Hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics which meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this position
  • NZ FANZCA or
  • IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome
