Underground Maintenance Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled underground maintenance professional to join our team in Africa.
This role involves servicing and maintaining mobile equipment, mentoring local tradespeople, and ensuring safe working practices.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in training less qualified tradespeople and a strong background working with SANDVIK, CAT, and Atlas underground mobile equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular maintenance on mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Mentoring and coaching national trades personnel to develop their skills and knowledge
- Utilizing technical expertise to minimize downtime and maintain high levels of productivity
- Recording and reporting maintenance activities accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment
Essential requirements for this role include:
- A proven passion for safety and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of colleagues
- Experience in training and developing less qualified tradespeople in a high-productivity environment
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of SANDVIK, CAT, and Atlas underground mobile equipment
- At least 5 years' experience working in the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment
