African Underground Maintenance Specialist

A specialist underground contract mining services business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join its African operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the maintenance function runs smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Acts and Regulations and adhering to company safety standards.
- Developing and monitoring project scope, guaranteeing risk management processes are followed, and providing regular progress updates.
- Liaising with operations and internal departments throughout a project's lifecycle.
- Providing coaching and development to site foremen and leading hands.
Essential requirements include experience in high-productivity mining or heavy industry contract environments, senior maintenance roles across different countries and cultures, and strong observational and analytical skills.
