About the Role

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Operations Engineer II to join our Launch Vehicle Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the final testing and integration of launch vehicle stages and the execution of launch operations at our orbital launch site in Bowen, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete integration activities of components, sub-systems, and payloads on orbital and sub-orbital class launch vehicles.
  • Participate effectively as part of a launch operations team for the purpose of preparing for and executing successful launch missions.
  • Operate Ground Support Equipment and Ground Launch Systems during high-level system testing.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans for test infrastructure, stands, and associated systems.
  • Prepare and conduct testing and test reviews in accordance with policies, plans, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering discipline sufficient to satisfy the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
  • 3+ years of demonstrated expertise with the design, analysis, development, test, and operation of Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience conducting risk management activities and a good understanding of risk management processes.
  • Experience participating in multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians.
