Aboriginal Family Support Worker Job

Work with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. As an Aboriginal Family Support Worker, you will provide support services to help them thrive.

About the Role

This role involves working with children and their families in a culturally sensitive and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing liaison and support services, as well as advocating for clients' needs. Your role will involve coordination and facilitation of appointments and follow-ups.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Aboriginal children and families
  • Act as a cultural broker and advocate for clients
  • Coordinate and facilitate appointments and follow-ups

Requirements
  • Identify as an Aboriginal person and be recognized by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate sensitively in cross-cultural environments
  • Proven experience in supporting Aboriginal children and families
  • Current driver's license
