Job Summary

This role involves working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to provide non-clinical counselling and social work services.

  • Seek a Social Worker or Counsellor to provide culturally appropriate services for clients.
  • Provide culturally appropriate assessment to identify the physical, psychological, and social aspects of a client's social and emotional and other related issues.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions to explore personal challenges, set recovery goals, and develop coping strategies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support, shared experiences, and collaborative learning among clients.

Required Skills: Cultural competence, assessment skills, case management, care coordination, therapeutic services, group facilitation.

Benefits: SCHADS Award, Full-time position, 38 hours per week, Initial 12 months fixed term contract.
