
Mental Health Practitioner

A mental health practitioner is required to support clients' mental health and personal growth on our telehealth platform.
The role involves providing 1-on-1 telehealth or onsite mental health support for clients, focusing on clinical cases such as depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, eating disorders, addiction etc.
- Provide 1-on-1 telehealth or onsite mental health support for clients
- Focusing on clinical cases such as depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, eating disorders, addiction etc
- Collaborate with the internal clinical team by suggesting improvements to the program and the platform
- Has a Master/Postgraduate Diploma training in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
- Skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or other evidence-based approaches
- At least 300 clinical hours post masters degree
- Ability to communicate in English and local language
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Prior experience in EAP, counselling working adults or coaching managerial roles is an asset
- Open to working onsite if necessary is an asset
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, empathy and a strong ability to work independently. You must be comfortable using technology and have a high level of self-motivation.
In terms of qualifications, you will require a Master's degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling or Clinical Psychology. Additionally, you will need at least 300 hours of clinical experience post-master's degree.
We are looking for someone who is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or other evidence-based approaches. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly valued, as is prior experience in EAP, counselling working adults or coaching managerial roles.
