About the Role:

We are looking for Senior HR Business Partners to provide expert HR consultancy and advisory services to senior management across the Department for Housing and Urban Development (DHUD).

As part of a recently formed Department, these roles provide opportunities to:

  • Influence workforce management by developing and implementing innovative approaches that drive organisational success.
  • Lead exciting people projects to enhance employee engagement, policy, and strategy setting, and overall departmental culture.
  • Shape business delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders to influence how our department delivers against our commitments.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide client-focused expert advice and consultancy to senior executives and managers on a wide range of complex HR management issues to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Management, mentoring, coaching, and guidance are provided to team members and business groups on HR matters to facilitate informed decision making and resolution of complex people management issues, and to build capacity across the department.
  • Develop, implement, promote, and evaluate innovative HR projects, policies, procedures, and systems to achieve departmental workforce management objectives, public sector initiatives, continuous improvement practices, and legislative compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in providing HR advisory and consultancy services across a range of matters, including advising on, interpreting, and administering legislative and policy requirements, classification management, performance management, report writing, and strategies.
  • Proven ability to work under limited direction within a team environment, exercise a high level of initiative and judgment in setting priorities to achieve objectives, and respond positively and flexibly to new ideas and changing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and undertake sensitive and/or complex matters, analyze and summarize information, and develop and report on appropriate policies, strategies, and solutions.
