Medium Term Planning Role

This role requires a professional with strong technical skills and leadership abilities to support the production of long term plans. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating mine planning options, maintaining an inventory of medium-term designs, and liaising with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of detailed plans aligned with organizational requirements
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of medium-term designs up to 18 months
  • Collaborate with operational, projects, and engineering teams to ensure plan delivery
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members
  • Monitor compliance with legislative requirements and site standards
  • Promote continuous improvement methodologies across all tasks
Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
  • Experience in large-scale mining operations, preferably in coal
  • Proficiency in CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex, or Vulcan
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Able to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching capabilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
