Bakery Assistant

Job Description:

  • Assist the baker with daily tasks to ensure efficient operation of the bakery.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our members, responding promptly to their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bakery products, including ingredients, nutritional content, and allergens.
  • Move oven racks and transfer baked goods to packaging for distribution.
  • Garnish baked goods according to item requirements, ensuring visual appeal and consistency.
  • Record weights and package baked goods by hand or machine, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Stock wrapped product on tables and pallets, ensuring date rotation and merchandising presentation to maximize sales.
  • Assist with other bakery duties as needed, supporting the team in achieving its goals.

Additional Tasks:

  • Work AM and PM shifts, including some weekends, to accommodate our customers' needs.
  • Assist with front-end duties as necessary, providing support to our retail staff.
  • Support other departments within the warehouse as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Show proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption certificate.
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment check.
  • Possess trade certification in baking, demonstrating expertise in this field.
