This role requires strong experience in corporate income tax accounting and returns, as well as managing corporate income and indirect taxes for Asia-Pacific entities in countries such as New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Chartered Accountant CA/CPA designation or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Corporate Income Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and sign corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers for Banyan's Australian subsidiaries.
  • Tax Advisory Services: Manage and collaborate with external tax advisors to complete income tax returns for Banyan's subsidiaries in New Zealand and other Asia-Pacific countries.
  • Tax Calculation and Reporting: Calculate current and deferred income taxes for Banyan's Australian, New Zealand, and other Asia-Pacific subsidiaries under local GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Indirect Tax Management: Manage indirect taxes for Banyan's Australian, New Zealand, and other Asia-Pacific subsidiaries.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual with a passion for entrepreneurship, software, and finance. Our ANZ head office is based in Melbourne, and we ideally want someone who is open to being in the office at least two days per week. Extensive travel is not expected in this role, but there may be a need to travel to regional operating companies or our global HQ in Toronto, Canada a couple of times a year.
