Job Description:

Lindsay Australia Ltd is a leading transporter of fresh and refrigerated produce, supporting farmers every step of the way through our comprehensive road, rail, and logistics network. Our integrated end-to-end rural solutions package provides customers with benefits of utilising Lindsay Transport's refrigerated fleet to deliver rural supplies to farms and transporting fresh produce direct to major east coast markets.

We are seeking an experienced driver to join our team in Queensland for local delivery work. This casual position requires a strong team player who can safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport customer goods and merchandise to and from customer properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and unload merchandise to rural worksites
  • Ensure safe and timely handling of company merchandise
  • Complete relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation, and delivery paperwork using in-vehicle technology
  • Interact with customers professionally
  • Work closely with depot teams for loading, unloading, and transportation of freight
  • In-store counter sales as required

Requirements:

  • A current HC Licence
  • A current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a retail environment
  • Safety focus and commitment to safe driving practices
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver rural merchandise
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently
  • Well-presented, professional, and reliable
  • Experience in a rural worksite or engaging with rural clients is highly regarded

To Be Successful For This Role Applicants Must:

  • Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
  • Provide a current traffic print out
  • Meet physical demands of the position, including getting in and out of the truck throughout the day; repetitive bending & lifting of rural merchandise when loading & unloading at the branch and on farm
