Energy Transition Specialist

As a Power Systems Consultant, you will play a key role in driving the energy transition and creating a more sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead engineering consulting works by engaging with clients and aligning team members from different technical backgrounds within a multicultural environment.
- Oversee the execution of power system analyses, planning transmission, distribution, and industrial networks, and grid interconnection studies of large generation, storage and loads.
- Engage with clients to work towards successful grid connection requests, highlighting potential risks and commercial implications.
- Support the integration of power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, HVDCs, etc., into AC grids (from feasibility to final stage).
- Perform high-frequency phenomena analysis, including harmonic distortion, transient overvoltage, TRV, missing zero-crossings, and equipment energization studies.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. degree in power engineering is preferred).
- 5-8 years of experience in conducting power system analysis in steady and transient states.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and power systems theory related to electricity generation and transmission.
- Expert knowledge in transmission planning and operating studies (132 kV - 500 kV), power system performance analyses including load flow, short-circuit, dynamic stability, voltage stability, protection coordination, and system strength analysis.
- Experience in power system simulation programs (e.g. PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD/EMTDC). Skills in other software such as CDEGS, ETAP, SKM PTW, and MATLAB/Simulink are highly valued.
