Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Mild Intellectual Disability.

To achieve this, they will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies and student wellbeing initiatives.

This involves developing highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively, proactively, and professionally with colleagues, parents, carers, school learning support officers, support agencies, and the wider community.

In addition, they will design and teach quality, differentiated educational programs and develop Personalised Learning Support Plans and Behaviour Management Plans for students with individual learning needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies and student wellbeing initiatives.
