Nurse Unit Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Emergency Department team. The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centred care.

Job Description:

Our busy Emergency Department sees over 14,000 adult and paediatric presentations per year, with 41% of these converting to hospital admissions. We participate in the NSW Ambulance matrix system and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dedicated team of healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired results
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years' clinical care experience in a relevant specialty
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management or a relevant clinical specialty
  • Experience in managing a department, including acting or deputising into the Manager role
