Lead Community Programs

This is an ongoing opportunity to design and deliver innovative programs that support the rehabilitation of people in our care.

You will contribute to strengthened community partnerships and community safety by working across Melbourne's South-East.

We develop mutually beneficial partnerships with government agencies and non-government organisations, providing opportunities for offenders to undertake unpaid work as part of their community-based sentence.

Your key responsibilities will include leading a team of office and field-based staff, striving to deliver community work placement opportunities that maximise individualised placements and educational opportunities for individuals.

This includes managing the Community Work and Partnerships stream for the West Area, overseeing staff management, resourcing, and work planning, while ensuring occupational health and safety requirements at community work sites.

You will also proactively maintain existing relations and target new business opportunities within the community, devising community-placed based programs that maximise achievement of required community work hours and increase completion of court orders.

This role covers the South-East Metropolitan Area, with primary work location at Dandenong, requiring travel across all offices and sites in the region.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to engage with local community services and effectively market partnership strategies, proven understanding and capability in supervising teams responsible for operational service delivery, experience in people, resource, and change management, and exceptional communication skills and drive for service excellence.

This role requires a Duty Director roster for the East region, so you must be available for after-hours work.
