About the Role:

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our growing team as Civil and Electrical Project Engineers.

The successful candidates will lead the technical aspects of our projects through full Project Lifecycle, working within an established project management framework.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime venture, upgrading critical transmission infrastructure as part of the green energy transition.

You can expect to work away from home for extended periods, with typical rosters including 11 days on, 3 days off, and 3 weeks on, 1 week off. You will receive an uplift of 10% - 30% while working away, as well as a living away from home allowance (LAFA).

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a competitive salary on offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture on project sites, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and ensuring that work is planned and carried out in a safe manner.
  2. Collaborating with project managers to develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget considerations.
  3. Managing the engineering and design phases of projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  4. Coordinating with various stakeholders, including internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
  5. Managing the construction phase of projects, including monitoring progress, addressing issues, and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
  6. Implementing and monitoring quality assurance and control processes to ensure that work meets the required standards.
  7. Tracking project expenditures, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  8. Identifying and mitigating potential risks to project success, including issues related to safety, regulatory compliance, and project timelines.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a Project Engineer role, delivering projects within the Electricity Infrastructure, Utilities, or Construction industries.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including PMBOK, cost estimation, risk assessment, contract administration, and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards.
