We're seeking a skilled Lead Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane-based team, specializing in HV Transmission Lines. This role involves overseeing structural design aspects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Design management for opportunity pursuits, design, and delivery phases of HV Substation & Transmission projects.
  • Providing specialist technical input, including structural design oversight, project planning, and coordination to diverse multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Conducting design reviews and checks to identify and rectify potential issues, ensuring high-quality design deliverables.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to present design concepts, progress, and recommendations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive client relationship.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree qualification in Structural Engineering with a strong understanding of power industry design principles for substation, transmission line, and renewable projects.
  • 15+ years' experience (RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent) in delivering Substation & Transmission projects to applicable ANZ Standards and Guidelines (consulting industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in using specialist design and analysis tools on structure and foundation design (PLS-CADD, MicroStation, AUTOCAD, 12D, etc).
  • Experience in design management involving multi-disciplinary teams with strong communication and client relationship management skills.
  • The ability to mentor, motivate, and guide team members.
