Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

 

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical direction, support, and advice to maintain adequate protection of our ICT systems, services, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • You will play a leading role in achieving and maintaining overall cyber security by utilizing your knowledge and experience related to cloud infrastructure, physical networks, endpoint management, and web application technologies.
  • Responsibilities include providing high-level cyber security analysis, incident response and management, threat and vulnerability management, risk assessments, vulnerability scans, access audits, penetration tests, and developing and implementing our cybersecurity framework.
  • You will also create, deliver, and coordinate security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff within the department is crucial for ensuring alignment and integration of operational services, processes, and service levels across the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of QLD Government IS18 policy, ASD Essential 8, NIST Cyber Security Framework is necessary to install, configure, and maintain enterprise security and solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation on technical procedures, system design, such as firewall block lists, ACLs, and other related technical areas within the Information Security Services team is an essential part of this role.
  • Collaboration with enterprise customers, 3rd parties, project teams, and other technical experts is critical for seamless and secure functionality of the networks and infrastructure capability.
