Fire Management Leadership Role
\As a Fire Management 2Ic, you will play a key role in leading our crew to deliver exceptional results in fire break maintenance and fuel reduction strategies. You will oversee all operations and team management related to creating and implementing effective strategies for regional fire management.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- Lead by example and communicate effectively with team members.
- Evaluate the impact of work on the environment and community.
- Develop and implement work plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Induct and train new employees to ensure they have the necessary skills.
- Manage routine operations and resource allocation efficiently.
About You
\To succeed in this role, you should have experience as a team leader or supervisor with a tertiary qualification in Conservation Land Management or an equivalent field. Familiarity with report writing, basic accounting, and manual driving is also required.
\Mandatory Certifications:
\- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Level 2 Workplace First Aid Certification
- Farm Chemical Users Certification
- Level 1 Chainsaw Certifications (cross-cut or maintain chainsaws)
- Road Traffic Control Certification
