About the Role

As the Environmental Sustainability Manager at Agri Talent, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our client's environmental credentials. This newly created position is crucial in ensuring compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the company complies with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Monitor and report on the company's environmental performance, including farming practices, water, energy use, soil health, and waste management.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports to boards and regulators as required.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure all staff are aware, trained, and complying.
  • Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction.
  • Identify opportunities for improving environmental performance across the entire business.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments and develop action plans for the business units.
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders to promote the company's environmental objectives and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce detailed environmental reports as required.
Requirements
  • A degree in environmental science or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and policy and procedure development.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Solid analytical and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence managers and teams.
