We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Roche in North Ryde, Australia. As a key member of our legal and compliance team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic legal advice and support to our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support to our business, including on regulatory matters, compliance, and risk management.
  • Work closely with our business leaders to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure Roche's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our regulatory affairs team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to our employees on legal and compliance matters.
Requirements
  • Admitted legal practitioner in Australia with a current legal practicing certificate for New South Wales.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a top-tier law firm or corporate environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer goods, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and updates to relevant legislation and codes, including the Medicines Australia Code, ACCC rulings, and The Therapeutic Goods Act (Medical Devices) Regulations.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation capabilities.
  • Previous corporate communications and training experiences are preferred.
